How to Add a Website Banner to Your Wix Blog Post Page

Adding a banner to your Wix blog post page is a great way to enhance the visual appeal and branding of your content. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you do this:

Step 1: Log in to Your Wix Account

  • Visit the Wix website and log in using your credentials.

Step 2: Access Your Blog Post Page

  • Once logged in, go to your website dashboard.
  • Navigate to the Blog section, which can be found under the Menus & Pages option on the left-hand side.

Step 3: Open the Blog Post Editor

  • Select the blog post page where you want to add a banner.
  • Click on the Edit button next to the blog post you wish to modify. This will open the blog post editor.

Step 4: Add a Strip (Banner) to Your Blog Post

  • In the editor, hover over the section where you want the banner to appear (typically at the top of the post).
  • Click the + Add button located on the left side of the editor.
  • Choose Strip from the menu. Strips are Wix’s flexible design elements that span the width of the page, making them ideal for banners.

Step 5: Customize the Strip

  • After adding the strip, customize it to fit your blog’s style:
  • Change Background: Click on the strip and choose Change Strip Background. You can upload an image, select a color, or even add a video to serve as your banner.
  • Add Text or Elements: To include a title, slogan, or any other elements, click the + Add button again and select Text or other widgets like Shapes or Buttons. Drag these elements onto the strip and adjust their placement.

Step 6: Adjust Strip Settings

  • Customize the strip’s height and spacing to ensure it fits well with your content. You can do this by dragging the edges of the strip up or down.
  • Use the Layout options to adjust the strip’s design elements like alignment and positioning.

Step 7: Save and Preview

  • Once you’re satisfied with the banner, click Save at the top of the editor.
  • Preview your blog post by clicking the Preview button to ensure the banner looks good across different devices (desktop and mobile).

Step 8: Publish Your Changes

  • If everything looks good, click Publish to make the changes live on your site.

Optional: Add a Link to the Banner

  • If you want the banner to link to another page or an external site, click on the strip, then choose the Link icon.
  • Add the desired URL or link to another page on your website, and choose how the link will open (in the same tab or a new tab).

By following these steps, you can easily add a custom banner to your Wix blog post page, helping to grab your readers’ attention and make your blog more visually appealing.
